SLAVANI
A Tribute to a Great Artist

When I was a kid as long as I can remember, every night, before we went to bed, my father told us a story.
The character in the story was a little boy called Slavani.
As we grew up Slavani became part of our lives.
Dad used Slavani to teach us about nature, to develop our skills and knowledge.
Through the every night Slavani stories we learned about life, nature, how to survive, how to overcome difficulties, stress etc.
Slavani became part of us. We were 7 children and we did all day what we should and tried to be as good as we could, just not to miss the night's next Slavani episode.
When my children were growing up, even they listened to Grandpa's Slavani stories.
When Dad died it became an obsession for me to not let Slavani die too.
So I started writing down the Slavani African and wild experiences as well as I can remember them. When I start digitizing I developed this craving for doing a Slavani in tribute to my father.
The search for the perfect graphic artist began. After 8 years I finally found an artist who could bring Slavani alive for me. All I had was what was in my mind, and I am sure every one of our 7 children had his/her own Slavani in their heads.
Here is mine, with his cute, big eyes and naughty, sweet face. His friends are all from Africa, mostly wild, lovable, African animals.
Oh the stories Dad told..... Slavani spent a night in a tree.... it was the lion story...
Slavani visited the river and his experience with the crocodile...etc..... etc.
I proudly introduce you to Slavani
Thanks Dad for teaching me through Slavani.
Special thanks to the team at Clipartopolis for making my dream come true
