From behind a tree came his father's friend with the most beautiful feathered crown. "Good morning uncled Jim, you almost gave me a fright." Slavani said. " Morning Slavani, do you like my crown? I can make you one as well." Uncle Jim said. "Oh thank you, I would love to have one like yours." Jim helped Slavani down from the tree and said: "Slavani, today we must decide who will be the king of the animals. Please gather the ones you think would be the most suitable." |

Slavani went to elephant. "Elephant, you are so strong. I believe your strength would make you fit for a king. Please wait at the tree over there, while I gather the rest." Slavani said. |

He walked on to where Buffalo is eating on some leaves. He looked at the calm way Buffalo is standing and decided to be a king you have to be calm at all times. "Buffalo, do go to that tree and join elephant. With your calmness I think you should be fit to be a king." Slavani said and off he went. |

Under a nearby tree he found Lion and his family grooming each other lovingly. He looked at him for a while and decided that Lion has got enough love to make him fit for a king. He also told Lion to join the others. |

Slavani saw something in the tall grass and noticed Leopard patiently waiting for the right moment to catch his prey for the day to feed his family. Slavani whispered to Leopard: "When you are done here, do join the others under that tree. Your patience makes you fit to be the king of the animals." |

Rhino ran past. Because of the noise, Leopard lost his prey. He said to Slavani: "You should also pick Rhino. He always makes me laugh". "Rhino!" Slavani called. Rhino turned back, stumbled with his feet, lifted his head, showing off with the horn on his nose. Slavani laughed with joy. "Oh, Rhino, your humour sure makes you fit to be the king."
